That 168 figure is off Wiki. If you look at the stats they do not include anything pre 2009 (when he moved to turkey) and do not include games while on loan at Al Ain FC this season. He's played more than that just that Wiki is not accurate

how come he has only made 168 career appearances, even Andy Carroll has played 230 with his injury record, and Carroll is a year younger.
Was he struggling to get 1st team action when he was younger or has he had injuries?

People saying he didn't score that many for Fenerbahce. If you look up his stats he scored 17 in 66 games but he also assisted 17 goals. Thats 34 goals he was directly involved in in 66 games. So a goal or assist every 2 games. Thats still very decent

This really is a wait and see what he's like jobby, could go either way. He's probably only here for 16 games or whatever it is anyway.
Pleased we are brining in a striker anyway as our main 2 are a pair of cripples.

I'd say Bilic knows Emenike a lot better than most.
In his 2 years in Turkey, Emenike scored twice against them and set up another goal.
In Russia the season before Bilic took over Lokomotiv Moscow, Emenike scored 5 goals against them in the 2 games he played in the Moscow derby.
He's probably had nightmares about him.

I thought he looked good in the World Cup. Has a good touch, strong and likes to take on defenders. Looked a handful.
I'll put my neck on the line and say he'd be a good addition.
That age thing does worry me though!!

good enough for a4 month loan at the right price...
Could lead the line...target man...power and a few goals in him...
But only if currently match fit...and no recent injuries hanging about...and ready to start ASAP...no more CFC-like return gigs...
